COOKIES POLICY

The Ionic Showering website (www.Ionicbymerlyn.com) places cookies on your computer or handheld device. This is a standard practice for all websites which enables website owners to improve visitor experience. Cookies are essential for helping us deliver a high quality website and online browsing experience for our customers

By accepting the Cookie Notice and proceeding to browse the Ionic Showering website, you consent to cookies being used in accordance with our policy. If you do not consent, you must disable cookies or refrain from using the site.

Most websites you visit will use cookies in order to improve your user experience by enabling that website to ‘remember’ you, either for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (using a ‘persistent cookie’).

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, storing your preferences e.g. in the comparison tool, and generally improving your experience of our website. Cookies make the interaction between you and the website faster and easier. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in.

What is in a cookie?

A cookie is a simple text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device by a website’s server and only that server will be able to retrieve or read the contents of that cookie. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier and the site name and some digits and numbers. It allows a website to remember things like your preferences or what’s in your shopping basket. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer used. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their site in order to track traffic flows. We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our web site in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

What to do if you don’t want cookies to be set

You can easily remove cookies from your computer yourself at any time, and options to manage cookies are usually found in either Privacy or Options tabs within preference panels accessed from your browser’s main menu (usually found under headings such Edit, Tools, Options, or if you’re using a Macintosh under the menu option with name of the application you’re using) but you need to be aware that you might lose some functions of that website.

If you disable cookies it will limit our ability to customize our site for you, deliver a better online experience and improve the features of our site. Some or all features will not be functional and the site will not appear in your browser as it was intended to be viewed. Some cookies save us from having to check the compatibility of your system with our site every time you visit, making the site faster and easier for you to use.

If you have any questions, please contact us at web@merlyn.ie and we will be happy to help.
